Wil is a long time sustainable construction and energy efficiency expert and is a certified BPI Building Analyst. Before starting STI, Wil worked as the Lead Project Manager for Urban Grid Solar. This Richmond based commercial solar installation company managed the construction of systems as large as 1100 panels and other projects that totaled more than 5 megawatts of PV in the state of Virginia.
Caton owned and operated Underground inc. which specialized in underground fiber optics construction and buried over 50 miles of fiber in the Richmond metro area. He also operated Commonwealth Construction Services of Virginia, which focused on local and state government contracts in construction and telecom fields. Currently Wil is the co-owner of the Sustainable Technology Institute. His experience led him into the role of being the Institute’s resident Solar Photovoltaic expert and instructor.
Wil is also a “CHEF” Certified Hunger Event Facilitator with the non-profit organization Stop Hunger Now.

packaging events in the community and surrounding areas.
